This approach allows us to focus on craftsmanship and material quality while avoiding unnecessary overproduction. It also ensures that every piece entering the world has a clear purpose and owner.

Obla works with natural diamonds.

Formed deep within the earth over millions of years, natural diamonds carry a character and history that cannot be replicated. Their rarity, individuality and permanence are part of what makes them so compelling to work with.

Each diamond is chosen individually for the role it plays within a piece.

For commercial diamond pieces, the stones are selected for their top quality, light performance and consistency, ensuring a harmonious line when set together. For fancy coloured diamonds, the focus shifts to individuality and character, with each stone chosen for what makes it distinct.

Rather than applying a single standard, every diamond is selected according to the purpose it serves in the design.

Obla pieces are produced in London in collaboration with a small network of independent craftspeople specialising in fine jewellery.

Each piece is cast, set and finished using traditional techniques before being hallmarked by the London Assay Office.

For that reason, Obla pieces are crafted in materials chosen for permanence. We work in solid gold and platinum, paired with carefully selected natural stones chosen specifically for the role they play within each piece.
